OUR STORY

Riverside Speech Pathology is a paediatric private practice that was founded in 2021. Riverside Speech Pathology's mission is to provide the Gympie community with access to local, high quality and evidence-based Speech Pathology services. Building relationships with local networks (e.g. GPs, allied health professionals, schools) is really important to us. We also believe that the best therapy gains are made when therapy is family-centered, functional and fun!

Jo-Dee Jensen (Allied Health Assistant)

  • Our clinic (at 7 Henry Street)
  • Victory College

Jo-Dee really enjoys spending one on one time with children, building their confidence and helping them feel safe, so they feel willing to attempt things that may have caused angst in the past. Jo-Dee loves watch the growth in resilience and confidence when kiddos achieve their goals, not to mention seeing their smiles.

Jo-Dee has more than 16 years experience working with primary school students as a Teacher Aide.  While working throughout the year levels, Jo-Dee spent the majority of her time with Preppies and students with special needs.  Jo-Dee believes that it is a privilege to help children to learn and grow. "Moving forward is what is important, not the distance. Forward is forward."

Outside of work, Jo-Dee loves to spend time with her family and her dogs.  She also likes to catch up with friends, make fudge and eat chocolate.
